Los Angeles: La La Land
When Frank Lloyd Wright famously stated, “Tip the world over on its side and everything loose will land in Los Angeles,” he was talking about the city’s endless capacity to absorb influences, ideas, attitudes — and people. And it’s so true; but in a both positive and negative way. Then there is the undeniable charm of La La Land; that exists in a cleaner, more colorful idealized version of Los Angeles. As if the entire city existed on a studio backlot and like it’s all part of a timeless aesthetic. At least that’s how it feels when you just stay for a week and enjoy this sweet daze just before its reality hits you. |
